Stop The Bleed. Save A Life. Casting nationwide for Stories of Survivors, Good Samaritans and Families of Victims Who Have Passed.
Vitamin Enriched is working on an important advocacy campaign with BleedingControl.org and The American College of Surgeons. The Stop the Bleed campaign seeks to better prepare the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters.
Uncontrolled bleeding from any cause, where a response is delayed, can result in death within 5 to 10 minutes. However, anyone at the scene can act as immediate responder, and save lives, if they know what to do. Just as the general public learns and performs CPR, learning proper bleeding control techniques (pressure, dressings, tourniquets) can save lives.
We’re looking nationwide for stories of survivors, Good Samaritans and families of victims who died from bleeding out, to be a part of the campaign.
Was your life saved because a Good Samaritan sprang into action? Were you that Good Samaritan who was able to save a life because you knew the steps to take? Or was your loved one’s life not saved because no one knew how to stop the bleeding? We’d love to hear your story.
If your story is selected to be a part of the campaign, it will be used on the internet and in print. The selected stories will be paid $1,000 for it’s usage.
